The objective of a RayMote implementation is to produce a flexible and efficient infrastructure, which we achieve via server consolidation on the back end and desktop workstation on the front end using a combination of modern virtualisation technologies and classic terminal services. In the middle, thanks to middle-ware level, RayMote ensures meaningful and easily manageable interconnection of all parts altogether. RayMote is the tool able to work on all three levels, while everywhere it has certain extent of impact. It could ensure most of functionalities so that the infrastructure is flexible, secure, easily administrable and monitorable – meaning to know which system resources and in what extent can be used by users. Another significant feature is flexible control of IT infrastructure – employee in charge can easily and flexibly make changes of various characters.

Openness of the system

The primary goal we attempt to achieve for customers by implementing RayMote is simplification of operations in a heterogeneous IT infrastructure. However, at deployment we are working with various technologies from various producers that are in the infrastructure. RayMote is characterized in particular by openness, modulability and flexibility. It is prepared also for communication with applications of third parties, both from the process and infrastructure perspectives. This functionality is ensured by separate application enabling full communication with RayMote, while any operation that could be realized with RayMote, can be performed by the user via this application. Basically, it is interface for integration of RayMote into any external component or into automating of tasks going through the RayMote. The software core is open. Many specific requirements of customer can be solved by plug-ins, which should not necessarily be applied by programmer, it could be reliably done also by consultant.

Integration of existing systems being utilized ineffectively and inflexibly in many companies is the key approach in relation with the RayMote. Reasonable unification of corporate resources (however without wasting system resources), their more effective utilisation and protection of customer investments also relate to this.
